Under Firefox 46.0.1 on Xubuntu, I cannot disable messages display. I click on “Off” button, under “My messages” and “Others messages”, but they are still displayed.
Chromium on the same PC works fine with that.

I get the same problem but on chromium also on Linux but with archlinux instead
