My current setting is to display CG in the ‘light style’
When i logged in today i saw that the chat was displayed in dark style while when i opened a puzzle ide it was displayed in ‘light style’ again and is always switching style when i enter the puzzle ide or got back to practice or another non ide page
i doubt this is on purpose …
Your chat theme != your IDE theme (aka Light or Dark side).
The default behavior of the chat (Mode: Auto) is to be Black on the site and to match the IDE theme in the IDE.
If you want the chat White all the time, you have to set it to White in the Chat parameters.
PS: The white chat theme is deprecated and may dissapear

by now i had the white on all pages
