I will now proceed to answer myself!
My issue was that I was still verifying if the taken piece, standing where the king is, was putting the king in check, probably resulting in some edge case. Fixed now

Encountered the same trouble with #14ā¦
IMHO the description āAn attacked King could be saved only by moving himself to a safe squareā is ambiguousā¦
Ok Iāve updated the description with: āA safe square is defined as either an empty square not attacked by any opponentās piece, or a square occupied by an opponentās piece that is not protected by any other opponentās pieceā
