Does the global contest ranking already reflect results from this contest? If not, when does it happen? 
It does.
But according to the current scoring system it’s worth more points to rank in the top10% of a 2500 player contest, than to win a contest with 1000 players. This contest had a low number of participants, so it hardly affects any global rankings (only the 3 best contest results matter).
