While this is still a “Medium +” difficulty (IMO), it would have been significantly harder had the constraint “the cubes are solvable” been needed. That is, all the test cases (and validators) have unique assignments, while there could have been ambiguities needing to chose among several configurations the single one that is solvable. This would have needed to find (or look up !) the invariants regarding permutations and flips, which results in only 1 in 12 configurations to being solvable…
Still quite interesting as it stands !
