Editor not saving

I even manually added

    "command": "editor.action.files.save",
    "when": "editorTextFocus"
},

and kept saving, yet I came back to my work rerolled back HOURS back?

I looked over at my history tab:

Every time you submit your code, it is saved in the History. Check out the different versions of your code in the list below:

Ok I’m using external save now, don’t trust the website doesn’t save your work.

You just have to run your code once in order to save. No configuration is required.
