During the regular puzzle events (last one being Happy Numbers), we are invited to solve a puzzle in a limited timeframe, even though we could have solved it before, after, doesn’t matter. So the whole point of these events is therefore to compete against other people during this limited timeframe, right?
Thus, we could expect solutions submitted during this timeframe to be the only ones highlighted at the end, or at least to get some benefit from participating in it.
However… The solutions highlighted at the end can be solutions from 5-6 years ago (On Happy Numbers, for Python, they all are, exactly the all-time top 3…), and the solutions voted for during the review phase don’t get any score. Plus submitting a solution during the timeframe doesn’t count as participation in an event for achievements.
So, why is this like that? Could we not change the way it’s done, like only allowing submissions during the event to be showcased, or considering votes on a solution during the review time as score (and therefore rewarding the 5xp as for a regular vote)?
